Lowball, where the smallest hand is best. Played for facets, which have no cash value.
Choose a stake, then press Deal.
Small is beautiful
Low Seven turns the usual card ranking upside down. You are dealt five cards and the aim is the lowest hand you can make: no pairs, no straights, no flushes, and the smaller the top card the better. Aces are always high here, so an ace is the worst card you can hold. The best hand of all is 7-5-4-3-2 in mixed suits, the perfect seven.
You get two draws. Tap the cards you want to throw away and press Draw; replacements come from the same shuffled deck. You can keep all five at any time. After the second draw, or as soon as you keep, the hand is read against the pay table. There is no house hand to beat: only the pay table.
What to expect
A clean hand with a nine or lower on top returns something; eight-low and seven-low return more. Most hands end up with a pair, a straight or a high card and return nothing, which is normal for this game. The rule of thumb is to keep different small cards and throw away pairs and anything above an eight. If you are unsure, the Suggest button marks the cards our helper would throw away.
Low Seven is a slower face. Nothing times your decisions, so give each one the thought it needs. Our guide Lowball in five minutes explains the hand names and a simple drawing plan.
How to play Low Seven
Pick a stake and press Deal. You get five cards from a fresh shuffled deck.
Tap the cards you want to throw away, then press Draw. You may draw twice, and you may keep all five at any point.
The lowest hand counts. Aces are always high. A pair, a straight or a flush makes the hand unclean and it returns nothing.
A clean hand is named by its highest card: seven-low, eight-low and so on. The pay table shows what each returns, times the stake. The perfect seven is 7-5-4-3-2 in mixed suits.
The Suggest button marks the cards the helper would throw away.
Pay table
Every figure is the number of facets handed back for each facet staked, stake included. A return below 1 × stake is less than you put in, and the game says so. Facets have no cash value.
