Terms and conditions

Using morvanthe.co.uk means agreeing to the rules on this page. We have kept them short and plain; questions are welcome at hello@morvanthe.co.uk.

1. About us

Morvanthe is run by the team behind morvanthe.co.uk ("Morvanthe", "we", "our"). Write to hello@morvanthe.co.uk or use the contact page.

2. Adults only

Players must be at least 18. Starting a game counts as your statement that you are. If you are younger, please go; telling the age question you are under 18 shuts the site on that browser.

3. For entertainment, never for money

Morvanthe is for entertainment only. No real money play is possible, and there are no prizes of monetary value. Money cannot be paid in, and nothing can be withdrawn, cashed out or traded. Playing or success in these games does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

4. What facets are

Facets are game points that exist only inside Morvanthe. They are free, carry no cash value and do not belong to you as property. No one can buy, sell, trade, transfer or redeem them for money, goods or services. They are stored by your browser, out of our reach, so we are unable to recover or move them, and clearing your browser data will remove them. If your facets drop below 20, a free refill appears.

5. Nothing for sale

Morvanthe has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid upgrades or advertising. Anyone claiming to sell facets, stickers or other Morvanthe items is not acting for us.

6. Rules, pay tables and faults

The page for each game sets out its rules and prints its full pay table. Your own browser generates every random result, and earlier rounds never change the chances of later ones. Should a game ever display something its printed rules do not allow, the printed rules win and we will repair the fault once we hear of it.

7. Reasonable use

Play for your own enjoyment and not for any commercial purpose. Do not try to break, flood or scrape the site, or to test it for security holes without our agreement. The contact form is for genuine messages, not advertising or abuse.

8. Who owns what

Unless stated otherwise, the games, names, pictures, words and code on Morvanthe are our own work. Linking to any page is fine. Outside the Box writes about games made by other people; those names belong to their owners, and our links go to the makers’ own sites. We have no business relationship with any of them and receive nothing for featuring them.

9. Other websites

Links to support organisations and to game makers take you to sites we do not run. Their own terms and privacy notices apply there, and we cannot answer for what they publish.

10. Looking after yourself

Time checks, round caps, facet limits, breaks and calm mode are on Play Well. A break of two hours or longer cannot be ended early in the same browser. If gambling is becoming a worry, GamCare offers free help on 0808 8020 133.

11. Changes and downtime

We aim to keep the site up and working, but we cannot guarantee that it will never be unavailable or never contain a fault. Games and features may be changed, paused or removed. When these terms change, the date above changes with them, and the version shown here is the one in force.

12. Our liability

Morvanthe costs nothing and is offered as it stands. To the extent the law permits, we accept no responsibility for indirect loss, or for facets, stickers or settings that disappear. These terms do not exclude any liability that the law says cannot be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Governing law

These terms sit under English law and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales, although someone living in Scotland or Northern Ireland keeps the right to use the courts at home.
