What it is like
Patatap is a small instrument made of keys. Every letter on your keyboard plays a sound and throws a matching shape across the screen: a pop, a chime, a swirl of colour. Press the space bar and the palette changes. Tapping a rhythm turns into a little piece of animated music.
There is nothing to win or lose and nothing to learn, which is exactly the point. It is a playful, two-minute antidote to more demanding games, and surprisingly good fun with someone else at the keyboard.
Your first go
Turn the sound up, try a few keys one at a time to hear what each one does, then press space and tap out a simple beat.
A good place to stop
Patatap has no natural end, so set your own: one short tune, then close the tab.
