What it is like
Silk is not a game in the strict sense. It is a drawing toy: drag across the dark canvas and soft threads of light follow your hand, mirrored round the centre so that even a scribble turns into something like a flower or a nebula. Change the colour, the symmetry and the spiral, and listen to the gentle music that comes with it.
We include it because some evenings need something with no goal at all. There is nothing to score, nothing to unlock and no way to fail. It is a calm five minutes, and a nice way to wind down after something more demanding.
Your first go
Turn the sound on, start with the default mirror and draw slowly from the centre outwards. Try turning the symmetry off once, just to see how much it was doing for you.
A good place to stop
Silk has no natural end, so the stop is yours to choose: when a picture feels finished, save it if you like it and close the tab. Ten minutes is plenty.
