Quordle: our notes

Four five-letter words at once, nine guesses to find them all.

What it is like

Quordle takes the familiar five-letter word puzzle and asks you to solve four at once. Every guess goes into all four boards, and coloured tiles tell you which letters are right, which are in the word but misplaced and which are not there at all. You have nine guesses to crack all four words.

Juggling four boards turns a quick puzzle into a genuinely satisfying one: a guess that is useless for one word can be perfect for another. The daily classic is the heart of it, and there are gentler and harder variants for the days you want them.

Your first go

Use your first two guesses on words with lots of common, different letters, then focus on whichever board has the most coloured tiles.

A good place to stop

The daily puzzle ends when you solve it or run out of guesses. The Practice mode never ends, so leave it alone if you only meant to play once.
